FAQs

1. What is Paribrita.com?

Paribrita.com is a women-led platform celebrating the timeless beauty of Indian handloom sarees. We manufacture Bengal handloom sarees and also promote handloom weaves from other Indian states through pro bono collaborations with artisan families.

2. Are all the sarees on Paribrita.com handloom?

Yes, every saree featured on our website is handcrafted on traditional looms. We offer authentic Bengal handloom sarees from our own production and showcase handloom sarees from across India through curated collaborations.

3. What makes Paribrita different from other saree sellers?

Paribrita is not just a store — it’s a movement. We go beyond commercial transactions to adopt and support artisan families, ensuring they are cared for through all their highs and lows. Our goal is to preserve and promote India’s textile heritage in a sustainable and ethical way.

4. Do you offer customizations like fall and edging?

Yes, we offer optional fall and edging services in both hand-stitched and machine-stitched styles. Please note that selecting this service will make the product non-returnable and may delay dispatch by up to 7 business days.

5. Can I return or exchange my saree?

Returns or exchanges are accepted only if the product is unused and not customized (i.e., without fall and edging). Customized orders are non-returnable. Please read our full return policy for details.

6. How long does shipping take?

Orders are typically dispatched within 2–4 business days. If fall and edging is chosen, dispatch may take up to 7 business days. Delivery timelines depend on your location and chosen shipping method.

7. Do the saree colors vary from photos?

We try our best to photograph each saree in natural light. However, slight color variations may occur due to lighting and screen settings. If you have any doubts, feel free to contact our customer care for clarity.

8. Do you ship internationally?

Yes, Paribrita.com offers international shipping. Charges and delivery timelines may vary by destination. Please reach out to us before placing an international order for details.

10. What types of fabrics do you offer?

We offer a thoughtfully curated selection of handloom fabrics including Organza, Katan Silk, Gachi Tussar, and more. Each piece is unique and woven with traditional techniques that reflect the culture of its origin.

11. Are all your products ready to ship?

Most products are ready to ship unless specified otherwise. Products that require customization (like fall and edging) may need additional processing time.

12. Can I request a blouse piece with my saree?

Yes, most sarees come with an attached blouse piece. The availability is mentioned in each product description. If in doubt, you can always reach out to us for confirmation.

13. How do I care for my handloom saree?

We recommend dry cleaning or gentle hand wash in cold water, depending on the fabric. Always store handloom sarees in breathable cotton bags, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

14. Do you have a physical store or studio?

At the moment, we are an online-exclusive boutique. However, we occasionally host pop-up exhibitions. Follow us on Instagram or subscribe to our newsletter to stay updated.

15. Can I preorder a saree that is sold out?

In many cases, yes. If a product is sold out, you can contact us directly to check availability or request a similar weave. As each piece is handmade, restocking may take time.

16. How can I be sure of the quality?

Paribrita is deeply committed to authenticity, quality, and fair practices. Each product is thoroughly inspected before shipping. Our team also works directly with weavers to ensure consistency and craftsmanship.

17. Can I get help with styling or choosing the right saree?

Yes! We’re happy to offer personal styling guidance based on your preferences, occasion, and body type. Feel free to message or email us for recommendations.

18. Is Paribrita a sustainable brand?
